Taungurung Parks Rangers care for Aboriginal-title parks, including Kinglake National Park, Lake Eildon National Park, and Cathedral Ranges State Park, as well as other parks and reserves on Taungurung Country, such as Horseshoe Lagoon and Gooram Falls.
The Taungurung Parks Ranger team deliver a range of field and office-based park management duties including participating in culturally-informed land management projects, delivering park management such as weed control, campground maintenance, and interacting with visitors.

**Salary**:$59,511 + super, allowances, and overtime
**Work type**: Fixed term, full time

- The role is offered as full time, but flexible working arrangements are available
- The role offers all learning and development necessary for the position, including a Certificate III in Conservation and Ecological Management, qualifications in skills including 4WD and First Aid, and cultural knowledge training with Taungurung Elders
- A full uniform and mobile phone will be available to the successful rangers
- The role includes working on some weekends and public holidays
- The role is based in Alexandra, and housing assistance for Taungurung community members may be available through TLaWC’s Bringing the Mob Home program (see here)
