**The role**
Reporting to the Head of Insights and Knowledge Production; the role of Analyst Programmer is an important part of our team, ensuring that Beamtree, as responsible data custodians, produce resonant, consumable, and timely information that is of high quality and value across the Health and Human services sectors throughout the various jurisdictions we serve.
This is a full-time role, working from our HQ in Redfern.
**What you’ll do**
While no two days will be the same, you’ll regularly be spending your time:
- Efficiently delivering reports, analysis and required data assets for products against project plans.
- Developing reports and analysis in existing form and in time, movement of the analysis to a new analytical platform that is underpinned by qualities of consistency, accuracy and brand-focused.
- Delivering new outputs that leverage data and knowledge assets of Beamtree - including but not limited to data quality audits, online analytics environment, website designs/portals and client access.
- Maintaining online analytics environment.
- Contributing to and enhancing internal business and technology processes.
- Ensuring the development of documentation, reporting standards and processes to maintain quality, accuracy and integrity of reporting.
- Diagnosing, testing, and debugging code to fix erroneous outputs in the report.
- Writing and maintaining SQL code to meet analytics requirements, analytics designs and specifications
- Writing, updating and maintaining technical code, documentation and procedures
- Considering client’s needs and user experience and desired data driven outcomes
- Ensuring that data sources and attributes are performing efficiently and identify opportunities for improvement
- Collecting, analysing, and reporting data to meet stakeholder needs.
- Working with internal stakeholders to continuously improve product delivery efficiency, report and analysis development as well as quality controls.
- Delivering enhanced user experiences for both internal staff as well as external clients and stakeholders to various products.
- Undertaking ad-hoc investigations, analysis, and reports to satisfy the request from both external and internal stakeholders
- Researching, consulting, analysing and evaluating analytics needs
- Identifying new sources of data and methods to improve data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Collecting customer requirements, determining technical issues, and designing reports to meet data analysis needs.
- Coordinating tasks with relevant stakeholders including planning, scheduling, controlling and communicating progress.
**Who you are**
- A Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a field relevant to the Quantitative Sciences
- Additional qualifications in the Health Sciences, highly desirable
- Previous experience working with analytical reporting and production through either work experience or through academic studies
- The ability to appreciate and understand database architecture, analytical functions within MS and other SQL languages (such as PostgreSQL), R and MS Excel
- Experience in BI Tools such as Tableau and PowerBI
- Experience in end-to-end production of BI data requests; especially in the setting of KPIs, reports & dashboards
- The ability to carry out analysis using SQL and present analytics through tools like excel and PowerPoint
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A commitment to driving improvement to systems and interfaces that enhance user experience and increase efficient delivery
- Confidence working in a team, and a shared ethos with a Deliberately Developmental Organisation
- Aptitude and experience in a fast-paced organisation, ideally with high flexibility
- The adaptability in learning new technologies and analytic tools

**Salary**: $97,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
