Apprenticeships R Us is looking for multiple **2nd year Spray Painting Apprentices **to join the Automotive Industry in the **Wyong, NSW **area

**What is an automotive apprenticeship?** An automotive apprenticeship is a structured training program that allows individuals to gain practical experience and knowledge in the automotive industry. It combines on-the-job training with classroom-based learning to ensure that apprentices receive a well-rounded education and a comprehensive understanding of the trade.

**What is a Spray Painter?**

As an automotive Spray Painter, you will use a variety of industrial equipment, including a spray gun, orbital sander, belt sander etc.

As part of your apprenticeship, you will learn how to:

- Carefully prepare panel surfaces prior to painting.
- Mix paints and to colour match to the original by eye or using computer technology.
- Use modern spray painting equipment and spray processes.
- Understand the blends and multi-layered formulations in modern paints.
- Create special effects with paint and finishes.
- Clean a vehicle to be painted.
- Clean and maintain spray equipment.
- Buff and polish vehicle painted surfaces.

**Licence/Certification**:

- Drivers License (P1 License or higher) (preferred)

Pay: $16.30 - $17.66 per hour

Expected hours: 38 per week
