**Part of a Team**

The Department of Anaesthesia, Perioperative and Pain Medicine, currently employs approximately 20 full-time, 40 part-time Anaesthetic Consultants and 23 Anaesthetic Registrars.

The department supports a wide range of clinical anaesthetic services including regional anaesthesia and ultrasound, obstetric and paediatric services, cardiac anaesthesia (including transoesophageal echocardiography) and a benchmark perioperative service (including CPET). The department has a strong commitment to excellence in clinical, education and research activities and a strong focus on preparing senior trainees for consultant practice.

Applications are invited for Advanced Anaesthesia Trainees or Provisional Fellows to join our friendly and supportive department.

General and speciality fellowships are available, both 6 and 12 month blocks considered. Speciality fellowships include:

- Cardiac Anaesthesia (1 job:12 months, Feb-Feb)
- Regional Anaesthesia (1 job:6 months general; Feb-Aug, 6 months regional; Aug-Feb)
- Perioperative Medicine (1 job:12 months Feb-Feb)
- General Fellowship (6 or 12 months)
- Other subspecialty anaesthesia fellowships may be available on discussion

We will also be jointly recruiting to a position with Werribee Mercy with 6 months Werribee, 6 months UHG, fellow preferable but AT suitable (separate contracts for each hospital).

Applicants must be ANZCA accredited or eligible.

Essential: Can you please list Barwon Health's values?

Essential: ANZCA Accredited Advanced Trainee or Eligible (Australian or Overseas Equivalent) to undertake a Provisional Fellowship in Anaesthesia
Desirable: Varied clinical experience prior to anaesthesia role; General Medical, Medical Specialty, Obstetric and Gynaecology, Surgical experience
Desirable: Demonstrated commitment to ongoing Medical Education, Quality Assurance and Teaching.
Essential: I agree to meet Barwon Health’s immunisation requirements (including full COVID vaccination) as set out in Barwon Health’s Staff Immunisation Policy as amended from time to time.
