**Burdetts Sand, Soil & Stone** **About us** The Burdett Group is a family business operating in Victoria and we pride ourselves in being "Still the Best Name in the Dirt Game" We operate several quarries and wholesale yards and are seeking a Yard Hand in our Bagging Warehouse at Langwarrin. This position hours will be between **7.00am - 5.00pm** **Monday - Friday** includes Overtime, _No weekend work required._ **Salary: $29 - $30 - Casual type** **What's in it for me**: - Work with a small friendly team - PPE provided and safety gear, gloves, glasses, and Hi-Vis. - Sunscreen provided outside. - Overtime available **Responsibilities include**: - Operating the forklift around the Yard. (License preferable) - **Complete 20 kg** bagging lifts (Every day) - Work a bagging machine in a small team (training to be provided) - Operating controls to align forklifts and raise and lower forks to stack and unstack - Ensuring goods are stored in correct areas so that they can be easily located when loading trucks. - Ganeral help in the Yard. - Monitoring equipment operation visually while operating the forklift. - Carry out start up and shut down procedures and documentation daily. - Basic maintenance and plant cleaning as required; and - Are a team player who likes to work self-sufficiently. - Willingness to undergo pre-employment checks, including medical and drug and alcohol testing - You can balance and deliver on team objectives in a safe and efficient manner following safe work practices - Ideally have forklift experience. - We welcome all applicants and will provide training in aspects of operations as required. **What's on offer**: - Position is based in Langwarrin, VIC - Work autonomously, indoors and outdoor activity. - Opportunity to grow if you show iniative We are an equal opportunity employer. **Job Type**: Casual **Salary**: $29.00 - $30.00 per hour **Benefits**: - Employee discount Schedule: - 10 hour shift - 8 hour shift Supplemental pay types: - Overtime pay Ability to commute/relocate: - Langwarrin, VIC 3199: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required) Work Authorisation: - Australia (required)
