**Assistant Track Manager**

Location: Strathalbyn Racing Club

Salary**:$72,475.00 (inclusive of 11.5% superannuation**)

Position Type: Full-time

We are currently seeking a dedicated and exceptional individual who believes in our values to join our team as an Assistant Track Manager.

Position Overview:
The Assistant Track Manager plays a vital role in ensuring the optimal maintenance of our racecourse, grounds, and facilities. Reporting directly to the Track Manager and CEO, this position requires a strong team leader who values teamwork and prioritizes the safety and well-being of all staff by adhering to WHS procedures and policies.

Key Responsibilities:
In consultation with the Track Manager, prepare and arrange all aspects of track and grounds preparation for race meetings.

Implement and adhere to all WHS, SAFE WORK SA’s Code of Practice, SRC policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all team members. You are knowledgeable in SOPs, Tool Box Meetings and SAFE WORK SA Codes of Practice.

Supervise outdoor staff (casual and permanent) in the absence of the Track Manager.

Maintain the grounds to the highest standard, ensuring readiness for events.

Attend to repairs and maintenance of buildings and structures, ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Maintain and operate the irrigation system effectively.

Service and maintain machinery to a high standard, ensuring operational efficiency.

Liaise with the Track Manager regarding expenditure and budget considerations.

Keep your skills and your knowledge up to date with the latest trends and technology.

In absence of the Track Manager, manage regular Toolbox meetings with staff.

What We’re Looking For:
Evidence of previous leadership skills with a commitment to fostering teamwork and collaboration.

Strong knowledge and experience in turf management and grounds maintenance.

Familiarity with SafeWork SA & WHS regulations and a proactive approach to safety in the workplace.

Evidence of maintaining records and documentation

Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Ability to work independently and make informed decisions in a dynamic environment.
