**Casual Medical Receptionist - Busy Private Medical Clinic | Southport**
We’re looking for a **flexible, experienced, and highly skilled Medical Receptionist** to join our friendly and fast-paced **private multidisciplinary medical clinic** in **Southport** on a **casual basis**.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a busy GP setting, works well within a team, and can confidently manage a dynamic front desk while providing professional, compassionate service to both patients and doctors.
**Flexibility is essential**
This position involves **covering shifts that change every 3 months**, as it supports a current receptionist who has recently returned to study. **You’ll need to be adaptable with your availability for weekday morning and afternoon shifts** as required.
**Key Requirements**:
Previous experience as a **Medical Receptionist** (essential)
Familiarity with **Medical Director and PracSoft** software (highly regarded)
Confident managing **busy phone lines, appointment bookings, and GP schedules**
Strong understanding of **Medicare billing, confidentiality, and front desk protocols**
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - professional, warm, and clear
High level of **accuracy, organisation, and attention to detail**
Ability to **multitask**, stay calm under pressure, and work efficiently
**A team player** who is supportive, cooperative, and communicates well with colleagues
A reliable, proactive worker with a strong interest in healthcare
**About the Role**:
