**About Your Role: Technical Writer**

Our Underwater System function has an exciting opportunity for an experienced **Technical Writer to our high-performing team based in Rydalmere. **This is a pivotal role that will provide writing experience and services for the preparation and production of documentation and technical manuals in accordance with internal customer requirements.

Reporting into the Systems & Speciality Engineering Manager, you will collaborate and work closely with internal and external stakeholders.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Planning, organising and controlling documentation activities in accordance with Company procedures
- Delivery of all documentation on time and within budget, in accordance with all client and contractual requirements
- Liaise with customers regarding progress of documentation tasks and any potential problems and solutions
- Represent and promote of documentation services to both internal and external client stakeholders
- Development and maintenance of documentation standards as required
- Provide estimates, advice and needs analysis for documentation services for internal and external clients
- Co-ordinating and implementing Thales security practices in the area of documentation writing, production and handling

**How About You?**

We are looking for a switched-on and confident person to be an integral part of our team, who’s not afraid to engage with people at all levels. Ideally you will possess:

- A degree or diploma in a relevant technical discipline
- Extensive experience in MS Windows XP and MS Office
- Strong experience in technical documentation environment
- Experience in a technical documentation as a Team Leader or higher
- Good team player
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work to tight deadlines
