Trainer of Apprentices/ Apprentice Master

**Pacific Industrial Company (PIC) is a highly regarded family owned company, and a recognised leader in the Australian Steel Fabrication and Construction Industry, located in Naval Base.**

The Master of Apprentices, or Apprentice Coordinator, is a leadership role and will form an integral part of our Apprenticeship Program in supporting, mentoring, and engaging with current apprentices until they are ready to work independently.

This role is offered on a full-time OR part-time, permanent basis.

**In this role, you will**:

- Design and manage training and assessment tools that comply with legislative and industry requirements
- Guide and mentor apprentices to enable them to successfully complete their apprenticeship
- Ensure that apprentices are rotated across the workshop and disciplines to increase apprentice exposure to all relevant areas of the business
- Identify and address apprentices who are having difficulty with progressing in their practical or formal learning activities
- Problem solving and planning to assist team members with relevant areas of difficulty

**Required**:

- Trade qualification with experience in Fabrication Trade (Boilermaking / Welding)
- Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (or progression towards)
- Understanding of RTO and competency frameworks
- Solid knowledge of apprenticeship legislation and policies
- Excellent communication skills

**Salary**: $42.00 - $45.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay
- Penalty rates

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Naval Base, WA 6165: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Driver Licence (preferred)
