**About the role**

Bathurst Regional Council is currently seeking a Plant Operator / Labourer.

Are you someone who enjoys working outdoors, operating machinery, and being part of a team that helps keep public spaces beautiful, safe, and enjoyable for everyone? As a Plant Operator / Labourer in Council’s Recreation Section, you’ll work as a team to maintain and improve local parks, playgrounds, green spaces and tree assets.

**Key Requirements**
- Engaging in hands-on tree maintenance activities including pruning, removals, and planting
- Driving and operating trucks, including truck and Elevated Work Platform (EWP), and a variety of plant equipment
- To provide labouring and other related duties within the Recreation Section as required.
- To ensure that safe working procedures are observed and adhered to

This position requires a pre employment health assessment which includes a functional, audio and drug and alcohol screen.

**Salary**:$1,044.00 to $1,096.90 per week + superannuation + allowances

**Position Status**:Permanent Full-time

**Hours of work**:38 hours per week with an RDO every second week
