JOB TITLE: Warehouse Operator

JOB SUMMARY: The main purpose of this role is to efficiently operate and manage the flow of products in the warehouse and maintain data integrity in the Inventory Management System.

KEY OBJECTIVES:

- Maximise efficiency and accuracy of receiving and sending goods in and out of the warehouse.
- Manage the inventory control function including accurate maintenance of in-house inventory management system.
- Deliver exceptional customer service through regular order status updates and timely delivery of products.
- Ensure warehouse facilities are properly resourced, well maintained and adequately follow OH&S requirements.

KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Unloading containers and checking, picking and packing goods against both purchase and customer orders.
- Loading trucks and dispatching completed orders to customers.
- Use of forklift machinery to move heavy pallets.
- Carry out inventory control duties relating to stocktakes, re-ordering and repackaging goods due to damages or discrepancies.
- Data entry for delivery slips, requisitions and invoices as well as use of inventory management system to locate and access required stock levels.
- Adhering to OH&S legal requirements as well as ensuring warehouse cleanliness and maintenance of consumables and equipment.
- Performing freight management activities such as shipping of orders in an accurate and timely manner.
- Assisting with various activities relating to procurement, reporting and process improvements where required.
- Proactively liaising with customers to confirm order status, manage service level agreements and performing customer deliveries when required.
- Assisting in the supervision of casual / contract staff

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: Demonstrated experience in using conventional and reach forklifts.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills both with internal stakeholders and customers.
- Strong awareness of OH&S requirements.
- Proficient in the use of MS Office and sufficient IT skills to be able to use various CRM and Inventory Management Systems.
- Ability to work autonomously, prioritize workload and good attention to detail.
- Flexible and adaptable team player with a “can do” attitude and ability to build rapport quickly.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Valid Forklift Licence
- Valid Driver Licence (own transport)
- Relevant certification in OH&S (desirable)
- Tertiary qualification in related industry (desirable)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $27.80 - $31.71 per hour
