Location: Brisbane

Job Description: Telecommunications Technician install, configure, maintain, and repair telecommunication equipment on towers and rooftops. Responsibilities encompass climbing structures, ensuring safety compliance, and performing technical tasks to ensure optimal network performance.

**Responsibilities**:
Interpret construction drawings, adjust, replace, and repair faulty items
Install, test, and maintain telecommunications equipment on tall structures
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures working at heights on a range of telecommunications structures including poles, towers and masts to install antennas, feeders and ancillary equipment
Continue and keep up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in technology
Exposure to various equipment and tools, such as hoists, cranes, cherry pickers and MEWP’s in carrying out works on site, to install and maintain telecom equipment
Work with other team members, including engineers and project managers, to efficiently complete projects within the required budget
Assist in test, troubleshoot and repair telecom equipment and infrastructure as needed
Keep accurate records of work completed and materials used
Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times

**Requirements**:
Must have experience in the installation, maintenance and repair of telecommunication equipment and infrastructure or similar
Must have good work ethic
Must have a strong knowledge of telecom installations procedures, safety regulations, and the ability to work at heights
Ability to climb towers and work at heights
Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations
Proficient in using hand and power tools for installation and maintenance work
Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively with colleagues and clients
Willingness to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions
Physical fitness and ability to carry heavy equipment
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites
Willing to learn and work well with other team members
Holder of relevant qualification or diploma
Willing to work in various locations for extended periods as required within QLD and other regions
At least 2 years relevant experience
Sound written and verbal communication skills
Self-motivated and excellent time management skills
Flexible and Reliable
High Attention to detail

Qualifications:
First Air CPR
RF Hazard Awareness Training
Construction Industry White Card
Valid Drivers License
Working at Heights and Tower Rescue Certificate (preferred but essential)

Pay: $77,000.00 - $97,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Weekend availability

**Experience**:

- relevant: 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- First Air CPR RF Hazard Awareness Training, White Card (preferred)
- Valid Drivers License Working at Heights and Tower Rescue (preferred)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (preferred)

Willingness to travel:
