**About Us**

The Iron Duke Hotel is an independent local pub for people of all ages with a popular food offering and 20 Beers on tap. Our staff like our customers are a diverse mix of characters, creating a welcoming and relaxed pub environment.

**The Role**

The position available is for a bartender starting 20 hours per week, with the possibility of extra hours and shifts in the future as well as room for growth within the company.

We are looking for someone with a confident and friendly personality, who works hard behind the bar and chats to the locals when they are on the floor.

You will be constantly interacting with customers to ensure guest experience. Good knowledge of craft beer and solid cocktail skills would be a huge benefit however is not essential. If you are new to bartending we are happy to train you, provided you are willing to learn and have a good attitude.

We pay casual rates of $27 to $38 per hour, in addition to a staff meal during your break, staff drinks and other great perks. Hours are flexible with a mix of day and night shifts. We can work around outside interests or studies if you work with us to make sure that we have appropriate staff numbers on peak periods.

**What’s Required**
- RSA
- Passion for customer experience. We treat patrons how we would like to be treated when we go to the pub.
- Attention to detail to spot an issue with service and have the confidence to solve it, not avoid it.
- Bring a positive energy to the team and a bit of banter with the patrons.
- Food & drinks running.

The position is available to start as soon as possible.

**Salary**: $27.00 - $38.00 per hour
