Data Analyst

We are looking for a Data Analyst to join our highly successful and growing management consulting firm to work on advanced projects for a variety of clients operating within the public, private and NFP sectors.

Your Day to Day

This role will require the formation and presentation of solutions to a range of complex and challenging problems through detailed data analysis. You will work closely with the team and our clients, requiring a multidisciplinary mindset.

The possession of strong analytical skills and an ability to convert meaningful insights into written reports and client presentations will be essential to ensure our clients receive value-adding solutions and successful project outcomes.

Project assignment will be based on the skills, experiences, and interests you bring coupled with ZED’s business needs.

What You Will Need to Bring to the Role

Proficient in Microsoft Power BI and SQL Server and with significant professional work experience in Business Intelligence (BI) and Analytics, you understand the value of data to help solve business problems.

You will also have a passion for data visualisation whether it’s developing models, prototypes, reports or dashboards.

You’re happy to roll up your sleeves and participate in all stage of the project lifecycle including engaging with clients to understand requirements, mapping business processes, designing visual outputs and building the data tools which deliver the insights. Most importantly you understand that your role is all about helping our clients’ source, transform and interpret data into actionable metrics to optimise their business.

What You Will Need to Bring to the Role
- Previous experience in a similar role as a Microsoft BI / Analytics Specialist
- Demonstrated capability MS Power BI and SQL Server
- Experience with or knowledge of Azure data tools; Databricks, Data Factory, Data Lake etc.
- Experience working in a complex enterprise data warehouse environment
- Solid Agile environment experience
- Ability to develop requirements into actionable business analytics strategies, roadmaps, and BI solutions
- Able to quickly build strong rapport with decision-makers
- Ability to comprehensively analyse and draw meaningful insights from data sets
- Knowledge of Python and R would be beneficial, but not essential
- Confident presenter and thorough, concise reporting skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as a team player while also acting autonomously
- Capable of both leading and taking direction
