**The Opportunity**:
Partnered with our host **Austube Mills**, we are currently seeking either a **3rd or 4th Year Fitter and Turner Apprentic**e.

Located in **Acacia Ridge**, Austube Mills has been proudly manufacturing since 1934, providing products and services with the best and most innovative steel solutions for Australian designs and conditions.

**Job Details**:
While working alongside experienced tradespeople you will gain valuable hands-on experience, mentoring and support. You will work in the workshop and at sites.

Key duties include (but not limited to):

- Perform fitting, assembly of component
- Assessable items precisely and in accordance with manufacture guidelines
- Manufacture precision components using manual and mill
- Perform general machining tasks to meet project requirements and servicing

Undertaking this **four-year apprenticeship** will give you the opportunity to become a qualified Fitter Machinist and earn your **MEM30219 Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade**.

**About You**:
Our host is looking for someone who has a passion to learn about the trade and industry, has good communication and time management skills, and isn’t afraid to ask questions.

You must have a good mechanical aptitude, enjoy problem solving, and be comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.

Driver’s licence required
- Construction White Card
- Ability to follow instructions
- Strong commitment to safety
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Be prepared to work overtime
- Be prepared to travel to various sites
- Strong mechanical aptitude and previous experience with machinery
- Welding experience beneficial
- Motivation to learn new knowledge and skills
- Hard-working person who can work autonomously and as part of a team
- Ability to pass a Pre-Employment Medical, Drug and Alcohol Screen and Police Check
