**About the Centre**

Casey ARC is part of the ONE Casey Leisure Facilities located in the south-east suburbs of Melbourne. Facilities include a 50m pool, wave pool, program and toddler's pools, large health club with group fitness and indoor cycling rooms, café and childcare services.

At Casey ARC we love swimming and believe it is an integral part of a child's upbringing to be comfortable in and around the water. Our swimming lessons are designed to give child confidence around water and to build healthy habits and safe water practices.

**About the role**

At Casey ARC we love swimming and believe it is an integral part of a child's upbringing to be comfortable in and around the water. Our swimming lessons are designed to give infants, pre-schoolers, primary school children, squads, access/inclusion and adults confidence around water and to build healthy habits and safe water practices. As a Swim Teacher at Casey ARC you will be developing and delivering lesson plans that promote those swimming skills, combining stroke development with water safety and enhancing the overall confidence and ability of your students.
- Structure and design lessons with appropriate activities that challenge and develop your students swimming and water safety ability
- Recommend students for level progression as appropriate
- Teach and model effective problem solving skills and conflict resolution skills
- Facilitate birthday parties
- Prepare/document lesson plans and maintain attendance records

This is a casual position, with an hourly rate between $29.44 - $33.77 plus Super.

**About you**

You will be passionate about inspiring and developing water safety and swimming skills in children and young people. Experience in other teaching or coaching roles is a bonus but not necessary. Personal attributes such as patience, respect, and enthusiasm will take you far as a Swim Teacher

**Essential Qualifications**
- First Aid and CPR certificates (or willingness to obtain before commencing)
- Teacher of Swimming & Water Safety qualification (or willingness to obtain before commencing)

**Other Desired Qualifications**
- Teacher of Infants and Preschool Aquatics
- Teacher Developing Competitive Strokes or equivalent
- Teacher of Aquatics - Access and Inclusion
- Teacher of Adults
