This NSW Government agency is a major service provider who strives to deliver a more consistent and efficient experience within government. This government agency uses data and behavioural insights to drive improvements with government and providing services to NSW. We are looking for someone to start ASAP for a 6 month contract paying $800 p/d + Super. This role is located in Parramatta/Hybrid.

**About the Role**
We are currently seeking to appoint a Statistician with a leading NSW Government agency.
**Key**
**accountabilities include**:
- The primary purpose of this role is to provide adequate and timely statistical analysis support to the Strong Family, Strong Communities data design and evaluation program in developing systems and analysis.
- Design, implement and review statistical models in the provision of demand analysis and monitoring and evaluation of business units and service providers - including the capture of funding and operational performance to ensure business units and service delivery partners are performing to a high standard.
- Design analytical methodologies and conduct advanced statistical analysis - including inferential analysis, data imputation and statistical modelling, such as forecasting, incl. ARIMA.
- Generate statistical reports that evaluate program performance for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage large data sets, including those stored in relational databases and manipulate and analyse large amounts of data to reveal insights for decision making.
- Contribute to achieving data integrity maintenance and improvement by identifying shortcomings in existing data, identifying systems limitations and options to overcome them and providing input into the continuous improvement of data capture and analysis systems.
- Demonstrate advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and statistical software, such as SPSS and R.
- Manage, prepare and review high-level communications, including letters, briefings, reports and correspondence.
- Ensure information is factual, accurate responses are provided within the agreed upon timeframes.
- Build and foster positive working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Support the process of continuous improvement in the use of evidence in decision making - sharing learnings, developing tools to embed evidence in others work and exemplifying best practice.
**About You**
- Numerous years' experience in similar positions
- Experience with R, Microsoft Excel and SPSS
- Ability to communicate with all levels of stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail
- Great written and verbal communication skills
