JBS Australia’s Northern Division operates five strategically-placed processing facilities as well as five feedlots across Queensland and New South Wales, with access to an extensive network of quality cattle. Our network provides the ability to meet the specific demands of various market segments with an extensive range of grain-fed and pasture-fed products.

**About the Role**:
Beef City Feedlot is a 26,500 capacity feedlot situated on the Toowoomba Cecil Plains Road between Oakey and Pittsworth on the Darling Downs. We are currently offering passionate cattle handlers the opportunity to further develop their cattle handling, livestock diagnosis & treatment skills within our Feedlot.

Feedlot Location: 35 km west Toowoomba, 15 km from Oakey and 20 km from Pittsworth.

**Responsibilities include (but are not limited to)**:

- Daily livestock handling including moving cattle from receival pens through the Induction process and into home pens.
- Drafting cattle.
- Follow documentation to ensure correct numbers of cattle are being inducted.
- Maintain accurate records of cattle movements.
- Count cattle to ensure accurate numbers are recorded.
- Ensure water troughs are cleaned twice a week and that cattle have access to water at all times.
- Follow procedures to ensure meet QA compliance.
- Ensure compliance with OH&S, Animal Welfare and
- Environmental regulations.

**About you**:

- Must be able to work effectively in a team environment.
- Must be methodical and efficient in regards to cattle movements and have good organisational skills.
- Must display a willingness and ability to learn new skills.
- Must be committed to animal welfare.

**Requirements**:

- Must be motivated and have a desire to ensure cattle health is a priority.
- Must be able to work a 10 hour day 4 days a week.
- Must be a team player and have the ability to follow instruction.
- Must be prepared to work additional hours if required based on workload.
