**Foundry Process Technician**

VEEM is on the lookout for a committed **Foundry Process Technician** to assist the Foundry Process Engineer (FPE) to fine-tune and improve our production processes in our non-ferrous foundry. You'll play a key role in making sure our metal casting, alloying, and machining operations consistently hit the mark for quality, efficiency, and precision. This is a full-time position and the remuneration package is between $75K to $80K per annum depending on your work experiences.

**Responsibilities and duties include but not limited to**:

- To assist engineering activities to support capital projects, process improvements, and product design developments, contributing to the company's innovation and growth.
- Manage projects with a focus on timely and efficient delivery, ensuring that all outcomes align with priorities.
- Be a proactive member of the Technical Team, identifying opportunities for preventative maintenance, process improvements, and innovations in production equipment.
- Design and develop project plans, including costing and feasibility assessments for submission to FPE for review and approval.
- Investigate and resolve issues by monitoring root causes, making recommendations for improvement to Technical Management.
- Support post-casting processes such as heat treatment, mechanical testing, and non-destructive testing (NDT) to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Assist FPE to undertake NATA Certified chemical analysis, NATA Certified Mechanical testing and post casting treatments.
- Maintain and audit key process controls within the foundry to ensure consistent quality and adherence to specifications.
- Collaborate closely with the VEEM team to optimize production processes, ensuring that castings meet specifications while being cost-effective.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Process Engineering and Metallurgy
- Experience in the metalworking industry mainly on alloying, casting, machining, and quality control.
- Knowledge of metal testing and quality assurance techniques
- Familiarity with health and safety standards in a production or foundry setting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
