**The opportunity**

As a Water Planner you will support the development and maintenance of potable water, recycled water, and sewer hydraulic models to ensure GWW assets can meet customer expectations and compliance obligations. Ultimately, the position supports GWW to ensure water, sewer and alternative water services are delivered at the right cost and the right time to service a rapidly growing community.

**Responsibilities**
- Utilise developed hydraulic models to investigate servicing options
- Prepare Plans and Maps of GWW’s growth areas showing the future servicing and infrastructure as required
- Collate, analyse, and utilise current planning information from various stakeholders for GWW’s current and future growth areas
- Respond to planning enquiries in water, sewer and alternate water from Growth and Development team

**Skills & Experience**
- Experience in water and/or sewer hydraulic modelling building and calibration
- Experience in the use of MapInfo/QGIS or similar GIS platform (desirable)
- Developed analytical skills
- Strong knowledge of engineering designs and standards
- Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
- Degree in Engineering/ Sciences or relevant industry experience
