This position is a crucial part of Downer Rail's multi-skilled team, playing an essential role in ensuring the delivery, reliability, and sustainability of rollingstock. As a Mobile Maintenance Technician, you will perform both preventative and reactive maintenance on the HCMT at the dedicated Calder Park maintenance depot. Your responsibilities will include electrical and mechanical tasks, with potential assignments at various network locations to provide mobile maintenance support.
In this role, you will conduct defect rectification and routine maintenance on rollingstock. You will be required to plan and manage your time to safely and efficiently complete all necessary tasks. Ensuring trains meet service requirements, enter service on time, and are defect-free will be key targets. Additionally, you must complete all necessary documentation and adhere to the safety accountability statement for the role.
**About You**:
- You must have Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) Level 3 aligned Mechanical or Electrical Trade qualifications.
- Train Maintenance or Test Technician experience will be highly regarded.
- Previous experience working in rail, heavy maintenance or asset management environment is preferred.
- Ability to interpret technical documents such as electrical drawings and operation manuals.
- Superior communication, attention to detail and time management skills
- Can-do, ambitious, energetic and flexible attitude essential
- Hands on with the ability to work unsupervised and within a team environment.
- Ensure commitment to a Zero Harm workplace and promote an excellent teamwork attitude.
