Purpose of Role:
As Trade Assistant, you will assist the Service Centre trades staff in achieving the safety, environmental, quality and Lean aspects of production.
The role will provide support in the areas of daily workshop production and on-site maintenance; in addition, providing logistic support and ensuring compliance with the EHS standards through the service center.

Key Responsibilities:
- Forklift license is essential.- Picking parts and supporting with preparation of parts.- Maintain all equipment in safe and working condition.- Supporting the fitters with all documentation compliance requirements including customer reporting requirements.- Supporting Service Centre Manager and Leading hands with work scheduling in workshop production and onsite maintenance.- Liaise with other departments of the Service Division as required.- Communicating with supervisor about safety improvements to be made.

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role.- Certificate qualifications in Warehouse Operations are desirable but not essential.- Forklift license is essential.- Dogging and or Rigging Tickets desirable but not essential.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Reasoning Ability:
Physical Demands:
Standing and walking for up to 8 hours per day. Forklift driving, repetitive upper and lower limb use. Wearing PPE at all times.
Work Environment:
Loud, exposure to outdoor weather conditions. Appropriate PPE to be worn at all times.
