School IT Specialist

We are currently seeking self-motivated individuals that have great communication skills, enjoy interacting with people, and have a willingness to learn.

There are vacancies right across the state so we aren’t limited to just Melbourne.

We are willing to assist you with your journey with us and within the Department of Education and Training. A basic introduction to the program will be provided to those that aren’t already in the system.

You are required to have an understanding of the following:

- Windows Server Technologies (Active Directory, Group Policy...)
- Service and management of Windows and Apple devices
- Network Administration (Cisco/HP Switching)

The following attributes will be highly regarded:

- Relevant experience in an educational setting, along with knowledge of wireless deployments and projects.
- Previous experience with planning, deployment, and management of multi-user/devices in an enterprise environment.
- Demonstrates the ability to plan and work collaboratively with the Schools’ ICT Management.

In this position at your allocated schools, you will, in accordance with our policies & guidelines:

- Represent the Department of Education
- Represent the Technical Support to Schools Program
- Coordinate Department Systems, Projects & Initiatives
- Provide End User Support
- Support and/or Manage Core Infrastructure
- Maintain ICT Security and Privacy
- Manage and Coordinate ICT Incidents
- Create and Maintain Documentation
- Provide ICT Planning and Advice where applicable.

**Salary**: $42.00 - $49.00 per hour
