**The opportunity**
Vacenti is seeking a Full-time IT Officer to join the Information, Technology, & Communications Team at Shared Services. Reporting to and working closely with the IT Manger. In this role you will work under the supervision of the IT Coordinator to support users across the whole organisation, with system, network, and hardware support.
The role is highly varied and requires a broad set of skills, ability to multitask and a collaborative approach to how they work with the wider team. You need to be approachable, helpful, proactive, and timely with their responses to the team. A key component to this role is building a knowledge database as and when issues are resolved.
**Your main responsibilities will include**:
- Responding in a timely manner to service issues and requests and troubleshoot to conclusion.
- Maintain end user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
- Assisting with the maintenance of the company’s server environment.
- Monitoring and maintaining networks & network infrastructure.
- Procure and configure hardware to the organisation’s standard.
- Mobile device management.
- Ensuring backups are functioning and being monitored.
- Assist with the maintenance of & ensure the accuracy of the hardware asset register.
- Promote continuous improvement in planning and delivery.
- Help develop, update, & maintain relevant policies, procedures, letters, forms, and other relevant documentation.
- Assist with IT projects for the IT Department
- Shared after hours monitoring of work devices
- Other reasonable ad-hoc duties as required.
**To be successful in this position you will need**:
- A current Australia Driver’s license and the ability to travel between sites.
- A personal philosophy of honesty and integrity, and practical approach that is compatible with the Vacenti values.
- Highly developed communication skills (written and verbal) and effective interpersonal skills.
- A positive team-based attitude.
- Initiative & willingness to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
- The ability to work in a busy environment and has excellent time management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality of information and use sound judgement when communicating matters of a sensitive nature.
- Basic knowledge of IP networking including DNS, routing, and switching.
- Basic knowledge of Printer and other hardware deployments and troubleshooting.
- Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills across a variety of platforms and devices.
- Relevant industry certification, and/or tertiary qualifications, e.g., Bachelor of Information Technology, or similar.
- To be considered for this opportunity you must have the right to live and work in Australia. If you are successful, you will be required to obtain a national police clearance prior to commencement.
