Excavator Machine Operator

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Excavator Machine Operator to join our team. As an Excavator Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining excavator machinery to perform various excavation and construction tasks.

This is a casual position with opportunities for growth and advancement within our company.

**Responsibilities**:

- Operate excavator machinery to perform excavation, grading, and earthmoving tasks
- Safely and efficiently operate the excavator to dig trenches, load trucks, and move materials
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on the excavator to ensure proper functioning
- Follow project plans and specifications to complete excavation tasks accurately and efficiently
- Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment - Collaborate with the construction team to coordinate excavation activities and ensure project deadlines are met
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to ensure smooth operations and project success

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as an Excavator Machine Operator
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Strong knowledge of excavator machinery operation and maintenance
- Ability to read and interpret project plans and specifications as well as mark out and prep for the job
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions
- Strong commitment to safety protocols and guidelines

Preferred Qualifications:

- Certification or training in excavator operation
- Experience operating other construction machinery

**Job Type**: Casual

**Salary**: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 - 40 per week

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 12 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay
- Penalty rates

**Experience**:

- Machine operating: 2 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Machine operating tickets (required)
