**The Opportunity**

Hitachi is actively seeking a motivated individual to join the team in the position of **Workshop Fitter **based in our** Revesby Branch**. This opportunity will see you assemble, maintain and repair a wide range of mining and construction equipment to customer specifications and provide quality diagnostic and general maintenance service in a professional, timely manner.

**You will also be responsible for**:

- Preparation and testing pre-delivery inspections of new equipment
- The repair and maintenance of both new and used equipment
- Conduct basic failure analysis and identify specific modes of failure
- Ensuring all work carried out is performed in a safe manner
- Completion and submission of all relevant paperwork and reports
- Maintain a clean and tidy working environment in line with the company’s 5S standards

**To be successful in this role**:

- Relevant Mechanical Trade qualification - Commercial Vehicle trades will also be considered.
- Previous experience with the assembly, overhaul, repair and servicing of mechanical and hydraulic components on construction and/or mining equipment.
- High Risk Work licences (forklift, dogging, working at heights, etc.) - highly regarded, but not required.
- A safety focus with a good understanding of Workplace Health and Safety principles
- Good communication skills and a dedication to providing quality work for an OEM
