**About the Position**

The Resident Assistant position is a versatile role supporting the dedicated work of our Personal Care and Lifestyle teams in the care of our residents. Taking direction from the Clinical Care Coordinators, this role will support the provision of quality support to meet the social, physical, spiritual, cultural, and emotional needs of the residents. The Resident Assistants will undertake a range of general duties that will be shared across both the personal care and lifestyle teams, dependent on the resident’s needs. Some examples of a Resident Assistant's duties are as follows:

- Helping residents to and from appointments, activities and outings.
- Assisting the Personal Care team with daily care of residents such as bathing, dressing, meal serving and positioning.
- Direct all health queries from residents’ families, friends, or guardians to the Registered Nurse on Duty.
- Assisting the Lifestyle team on Bus outings and set up/breakdown of events.
- Maintain a safe work environment in accordance with NoosaCare’s Workplace Health and Safety Policies and Procedures.
- Work within the scope of skills and avoid the duplication of support for residents.

- Ability to establish and maintain professional and appropriate relationships with residents and their families.
- Consistently maintaining confidentiality of residents and staff.
- Commitment to respecting the values, customs, preferences and spiritual beliefs of residents and their families/representatives.
- Ability to comply with safe work practices and food safe handling practices.

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $32.26 per hour

Expected hours: 25 - 35 per week
