Maintenance Fitter

We are seeking a reliable and conscientious Maintenance Fitter to join our high-speed operation which operates across multiple filling lines on the afternoon shift. We have industry leading, PLC controlled filling and packing machinery, set within a clean and organised workplace.

This hands-on position will play a key role in supporting the operations team, including batching, production, warehouse and engineering.

The ideal applicant for this role will have previous manufacturing experience with automated filling and capping machines, as well as other equipment such as Palletisers, Labelers, and Case Packers.

Your accountabilities will include but are not limited to:

- Support production with prompt attention to production line maintenance,
- Production Line - Machine setting and product changeovers.
- Identify, resolve and repair mechanical problems with permanent solutions.
- Contribute to and action preventative maintenance program.
- Maintain equipment and site infrastructure as per preventative maintenance schedules.
- Work effectively within teams as well as autonomously.
- Participate in cross functional projects.
- Mechanical Trade Fitter Certificate
- 2 years+ experience in filling / labeling / packaging lines or related work.
- Ability to fault find, including root cause issues
- Experience - Fitting and turning, Pneumatics / Hydraulics, Welding, minor fabrication
- Reasonable computer skills required for data entry within CMMS.
- Further certifications such as Confined Space, D Class License, and LF Forklift are also desirable
- Advanced TIG welding skills would be highly considered

The successful applicants will be provided with comprehensive training on the Day Shift and will transition gradually to the Afternoon Shift. Training hours on the day shift will be from 0700 - 1506 and then situated permanently on the afternoon shift from 1500 - 2306, Monday to Friday with a measure of flexibility for operational requirements requiring limited overtime and some split shifts whilst in training.

**Salary**: $38.00 - $41.00 per hour
