**What are the key responsibilities?**

In this part-time role, working 2-3 days a week, you will be our director of first impressions by welcoming visitors warmly and professionally, notifying appropriate personnel of their arrival as well as answering switchboard phone with a "smile" and directing calls to the appropriate staff member and recording and passing on messages. You will also be ensuring that the office runs smoothly and will need to be the "go to" person for everyone. Your duties will also include but not be limited to coordination of bookings, staff accommodation, assistance with conference organisation and fleet car bookings. Assisting with incoming and outgoing mail and management of of mail and stationary inventory. It will be a busy but rewarding role.

**What you will bring to the role?**
- Certificate III in Business Administration or similar experience (highly regarded)
- Experience as a front desk receptionist or in an administrative role desirable
- Friendly, welcoming and approachable attitude
- Professional appearance with a calm and balanced approach
- Excellent multitasking and organisational skills
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Proficient IT skills to be able to among other things coordinate and manage staff travel accommodation and any required bookings
- Good problem solving skills to be able to ensure that the office runs smoothly
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of the team

Southern Cross Care Queensland (SCCQ) is a Catholic not-for-profit organisation established by the Knights of the Southern Cross, more than 40 years ago. They saw a need to provide compassionate care and inclusive service to some of the most vulnerable, the ageing population, in the community.
