Maxima, in partnership with our Host Employer, are seeking a committed individual who loves a challenge to undertake a hands-on apprenticeship in Civil Construction.

This 3-year, outdoors apprenticeship will see you working fulltime gaining practical, industry experience, whilst receiving paid study towards a **Certificate III in Civil Construction Plant Operations**. Our Host Employer primarily services the Mount Barker region and will require you to travel between sites.

Join this small knit, yet busy and upbeat team, to kickstart your career in the civil construction industry and leave a mark on the development of local community infrastructure. With exposure to a wide range of tasks, you will gain the skills and knowledge to see you through a lasting civil career.

**Duties Include**:

- Site preparation and excavation
- Dig trenches
- Concreting tasks
- Fence installation
- Retaining wall erection
- Read construction blueprints
- Use of industry equipment including skid steers, laser levellers etc.

**About You**:

- Thrives working outdoors
- Has a can-do attitude, displaying initiative
- Strong track record of being punctual, reliable, and hardworking
- Physically fit and able to move repetitively
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

**Role Requirements**:

- Current driver’s licence, provisional or c-class
- Must satisfactorily pass a pre-employment assessment
