**About the role**:
Drive engagement and participation of residents into a range of social, recreational and cultural activities as well as mental health and wellbeing programs that empower our resident’s choices and independence.

In planning and organising recreational activity programs, you will ensure individual residents’ needs, values, spiritual and cultural preferences are taken into account.

**Duties may include but are not limited to**:

- Plan organise, and lead activities for our residents that will meet social and recreational needs, while also promoting independence and increasing quality of life.
- Assess and document the effectiveness of the programs, by tracking residents’ progress and changing the programs as needed.
- Assist with the assessment of residents’ individual interests and needs regarding developing and individual activity therapy care plan.
- Develop and maintain consumer care plans
- Experience in completing care plans, entering progress notes and attendance records.
- The ability to solve problems independently.
- An understanding of Resident Rights, Aged Care Accreditation Standards and Outcomes
- Knowledge of Work Health and Safety
- Develop and facilitate recreational therapy activity program, promoting the physical, psychological, and social wellbeing of all residents in the facility.
- Participate in the review of the Recreational therapy activity program regularly with feedback from residents, relatives, and staff to ensure it continues to meet the changing needs of the resident in the facility.

**Skills & Experience**:

- Cert IV in Leisure and Health
- Previous experience in Aged Care setting
- Highly developed organisation and time management skills.
- Documentation skills and knowledge of Government Accreditation regimes.
- Adherence to good Work Health and Safety practices, company policies, infection prevention control, quality, and accreditation issues.
- You have an understanding of Resident Rights, Aged Care Standards and Outcomes
- Computer literacy

**About you**:

- Minimum 1 year work experience in the aged care sector
- Cert IV in Leisure and Health
- Cantonese and/or Mandarin speaking as essential, or multilingual Asian speaking
- Able to read and write in English.
- Knowledge of the Aged Care Quality Standards
- Ability to solve problems independently.
- Strong attention to detail, and excellent time management skills

**Requirements**:

- National Police Check (within the last 12 months)
- Sufficient vaccination evidence, or medical practitioner approved exemption, as per our current vaccination policy requirements, such as annual influenza and COVID-19 vaccinations.

Ability to commute/ relocate:

- Bonnyrigg, NSW 2177: Reliably commute, or planning to relocate before commencing work (required)

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: From $30.11 per hour
