Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service (SCHHS) is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south and Gympie in the north.

This position will work as part of the Caloundra Oral Health management team and dental laboratory team and provide supervision and management of 7.8 FTE dental technicians at the Caloundra Dental Laboratory.
Oral Health services are provided to patient groups that meet the eligibility criteria for accessing public dental services in Queensland.
Oral Health Services are part of SCHHS Community and Preventive Health (CPH). CPH is a diverse group of service units delivering care and interventions outside the acute hospital setting in most cases. These services comprise all aspects of the care and life continuum including population health, prevention, early detection, management, reducing disease progression and complications, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health care, rehabilitation and end of life care.
**Key Responsibilities include**:

- Provide advanced level technical advice to SCHHS Oral Health colleagues, managers and other internal and external stakeholders as required
- Provide mentorship, guidance and technical advice to less experienced technicians and contribute to the development of dental technical competence.
