**YMCA Vocational Schools, part of the YMCA Brisbane,** provide adjusted education programs and vocational training to secondary students, who would benefit from an alternative learning environment.** Our Ipswich Senior Campus** provides students with practical, flexible and tailored education program with to enhancing their skills, at a pace that encourages school attendance, engagement and confidence. The facility also has amenities including access to training facilities and programs, catering facilities & cooking events, two (2) sporting ovals and more to further enhance individual educational needs.

**ABOUT THE ROLE**

We are now appointing a** Teacher **to join our dedicated, multi-disciplinary team on a **Permanent, Full time basis **at the **YMCA Vocational School**:Ipswich Senior Campus.**
- You will have experience and/or interest in working within a trauma informed framework
- Dedicated to providing students with a real opportunity and commitment to continuous improvement is celebrated each and every day
- You will be supported and encouraged to take ownership of our purpose built 21st century learning spaces;
- You can make a real impact in the lives of some of South East Queensland's most disadvantaged young people.

**SELECTION CRITERIA**
- Hold a relevant Bachelor degree, current Queensland Teacher Registration, First Aid Certificate and CPR Qualifications;
- Be able to demonstrate practical experience teaching and supporting young people and the development of positive student relationships;
- Work successfully in a small team and within the schools' philosophy & ethos to establish productive partnerships and achieve educational outcomes.

- Our working year is 195 days total with 25 of those days being non-contact time focusing on: 15 days professional development and 10 days focused on student individualised planning.
- Our school days are 9.30 - 1pm Monday & Friday, & 9.30 - 2.30pm Tuesday, Wednesday, &Thursday.
