**Description**:
Our client, a premier food manufacturer, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to their processing facility in south-west Sydney, due to continued growth. You will harness your skills and knowledge within the manufacturing/FMCG sector with a company that has major growth forecast. The focus of this role will be to minimising downtime and upholding quality standards. This is a permanent rotating night/weekend shift, 4 on 4 off and 3 on 3 off.
In this role you will be required to:

- Identify and organise planned maintenance activities throughout the site.
- Offer technical support and training to machine operators for basic troubleshooting.
- Maintain detailed records of all work performed and log them onto the CMMS.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and project implementation.
- Investigate deficiencies in plant or equipment leading to out-of-spec finished goods.
- Assist in meeting BRC and other customer standards.
- Possess a Mechanical Fitter Trade or equivalent qualification.
- Have previous experience performing maintenance in a manufacturing (pref FMCG) environment essential
- Be proficient in hydraulics and pneumatic systems.
- Possess the ability to perform machinery repairs, alterations, and enhancements while upholding HACCP & GMP standards.
- Have excellent fault finding and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) skills with a focus on accuracy.
- Interpret schematic diagrams and machinery manuals proficiently.
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and produce comprehensive work order reports.
- Possess basic electrical systems and components and automation experience an advantage.
- Have sound skills in welding, turning, and sheet metal fabrication.
