At Ventia, our environmental monitoring team is responsible for providing detailed data for our clients, ensuring projects meet health and safety standards to protect our communities, and to mitigate their impact on the environment. Through soil, water and air monitoring projects we build a bigger picture to help make informed decisions.

As a SHEQ Advisor, your primary responsibility is to deliver on organisational safety, health and environmental requirements, fostering a safe and efficient workplace for the monitoring team. This role can be based in our Tatura office, however we have the flexibility for you to work out of any of our regional sites depending on your location.

**About the role**:

- Facilitate implementation of health & safety management plans, policies and procedures
- Participate in site planning meetings promoting risk management and assessment
- Assist in incident investigations and reporting
- Provide support developing safety training packages and presentations
- Liaise with project teams to ensure crews are correctly certified and trained
- Maintain Safety, Health & Environment records and documentation

**About you**:

- Tertiary Qualification in Workplace/Occupation Health and Safety OR
- 2-5 years of experience in a safety/environment or other relevant position
- Previous experience in the water industry is desirable
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with stakeholders
- Ability to develop and execute strategies to ensure compliance, minimise risk and drive continuous improvement
- Able and willing to travel to our regional sites in Tatura, Maffra and Grovedale from time to time
