**Aplications are invited for the position of the Research Assistant in the Embryology Research Unit.**

Children's Medical Research Institute (CMRI) was Australia's first dedicated paediatric research facility and is now one of the world's most highly regarded independent medical research organisations. Our research focuses on the four key areas impacting children's health: cancer, genomics and genetic diseases, neurobiology, and embryology.

**Work with a team of dedicated professionals**

We are looking for a Research Assistant to join our team to:

- Perform experiments related to stem cell biology and developmental biology.
- Perform experiments independently and in collaboration with other team members.
- Be involved in the development of mouse models.
- Assist in general lab management tasks such as preparing stocks, ordering etc.
- Assist in laboratory duties such as genotyping, preparation and maintenance of cell lines etc.

**Key Selection Criteria**
- Display a willingness to work with mice.
- Experience in performing molecular and cell biology assays, including mammalian tissue culture, PCR, RT-PCR and Western Blotting (WB).
- Proficient in general laboratory tasks, including lab chores and maintaining lab supplies and inventory.
- Good understanding of genomics, CRISPR, DNA/RNA sequencing technologies and experience with bioinformatic analysis of RNA seq data is advantageous.
