Coles Group Insurance protects our team members, customers and business. We work across a variety of areas, from workers compensation to property insurance to public liability insurance. Our team offers strategic advice that guides decision making and helps our Group achieve its business outcomes.

**About The Role**:
We have a great opportunity for an experienced Insurance Accountant to join the team. You will be part of the team that managers Coles self-insurance fund. You will Support the Senior Insurance Accountant in managing the Coles Group Self-Insurance Program. You will also;
- Understanding and meeting key compliance requirements
- Effective vendor management to ensure accurate and timely payment while managing risk of fraud
- Carry out banking, cancellation and reconciliation in relation to cheques returned or received from vendors
- Support the Senior Insurance Accountant in relation to reporting, journals, payment, reconciliation and analysis

***About you and your skills**:
This is a great opportunity for an accountant looking to launch a career within Coles. We are looking for someone who has the technical accounting skills and can bring a high level of energy to the role. You will be looking to take the next step in your career as his role has the potential to grow into greater responsibility. You will also have;
- Tertiary qualification in Finance or related discipline
- Technical accounting experience, ideally in an insurance environment but not essential
- High level of excel skills
- Intermediate knowledge of major accounting software packages for both general ledger and statutory accounting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team and take on new tasks
- Well-developed awareness of risk factors impacting the above work and how to mitigate them.
