**ABOUT THE ROLE**
**RESPONSBILITIES AND DUTIES INCLUDE**:
Working 3 or 4 days per week your duties as a Payroll Officer would include:
- Processing end to end weekly payroll for 250+ shift-oriented workforce, including terminations, superannuation, leave processing and liability
- Single touch payroll reporting, weekly and year end reporting
- Monthly and Year End reconciliations, including reconciliation to General Ledger accounts
- Returns and payment of relevant taxes - Withholding and Payroll tax
- Ensuring compliance with Superannuation and Taxation legislation
- Setting up new starters and maintenance of employee files
- Maintain staff and management confidence by protecting confidentiality and ensuring the integrity of payroll operations
**About You**
- An energetic, positive and professional attitude
- 3-4 years previous experience in processing a payroll of similar size
- Award interpretation skills
- Comprehensive numeracy skills
- Understanding and compliance of Superannuation legislation and requirements
- Knowledge and experience with ATO legislative requirements
- Sound understanding of the NES
- Experience in the use of HR information systems and Payroll / Rostering systems (Access Micropay and UKG/Kronos would be advantageous but not essential)
- Time management skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- The ability to work to deadlines
