**The Role**
**Capability Costing Policy**
They will build in-depth knowledge of costing within capability delivery under the One Defence Capability System and will be responsible for the development, implementation and review of policies and procedures relevant to the scope of CCB within that discipline. They will engage in complex to very complex problem solving and issues management and may coordinate and perform detailed or sensitive projects that impact on strategic or operational outcomes for Defence.

**About our Team**
The Capability Costing Branch works in partnership with the Defence community to drive better practice and transform capability costing. The Branch connects and supports a professional costing community by developing policy and technical solutions, providing strategic and technical costing advice, and building a sustainable costing workforce.
**Standard for all roles**
- Accountable for leading a team, managing allocated resources, setting work area priorities, managing workflows, developing strategies and evaluating workforce outcomes.
- Accountable for the accurate completion of work within timeframes and quality requirements, share own expertise with others and guide and mentor less experienced employees.
- Builds and sustains collaborative and consultative working relationships within Defence Finance Group (DFG), and across the domestic and international Defence community to promote open communication and to maximise engagement.
- In collaboration with the change and communications team, devise, deliver and evaluate the effectiveness of consultation activities to maximise Defence community engagement and feedback.
- Work collaboratively across organisational boundaries to embed a continuous improvement culture by identifying and actively engaging in formal and informal opportunities to drive better practice and transform capability costing.

- Has a depth of knowledge, skills and experience to understand, analyse, maintain and mature the capability costing policy framework.
- Manage a number of complex policy initiatives across multiple stakeholders to develop and improve the capability costing policy framework.
**Capability Costing Technology and Data**
- Has a depth of knowledge, skills and experience to understand, support and mature the capability costing systems and data.
- Manage a range of projects of varying complexity across multiple stakeholders to improve capability costing systems, and data quality and access.
