About the role

The Regional Care Community Manager (South/East) is accountable for the effective leadership and management of the day-to-day operations of three Care Communities across Grampians Health Ballarat,specifically focusing on standardised approach, high quality and innovative residential care in partnership with the Care Community Operations Director (Ballarat). The Regional Care Community Manager (South/East) is responsible to drive the model of care ‘Meaningful Life’ across all three Care Communities.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation of Grampians Health Together across the Care Communities.
- Foster an innovative ‘can do’ culture and encourages initiative in others through delegation and providing Challenge.
- Manage, supervise, support and develop multi-disciplinary teams of staff through the accountability framework.
- Be a key contributor to the implementation and development of the Aged Care Redesign ensuring compliance with Aged Care standards and legislation.

Skills and experience- Minimum of five years’ experience in a relevant management role.
- Proven, management level experience in effectively leading residential care programs, with an emphasis on developing and leading quality improvement and innovation within a RAC environment.
- Proven, senior level experience in effectively leading aged services, with an emphasis on developing and sustaining effective and strategic service models
- Sound understanding of the principles of quality, safety, risk management and the Aged Care Quality Standards.
