Blue Sparrow coffee is located in "HomeCo Hawthorn east shopping centre". and trades between 8am to 4pm. We expect you to have Cafe management experience and be able to lead a small team each week, whilst growing the café’s weekly customer count & sales. Key Requirements for the Role: 1. Make excellent hot beverages including all forms of coffee, chai, tea and other hot drinks. Be conversant with latte art. 2. Oversee & supervise the day to day operation of the cafe, with mínimal direction. 3. Suggest & implement new and on trend ideas that will set our cafe apart from others in a positive way. 4. Be involved in recruiting new staff as required from time to time and the training & development of those staff. 5. Weekly roster planning and controlling adherence to roster (hrs/$). 6. Maintain excellence cleanliness in the cafe and implement sound food safety standards. 7. Help to set and then achieve weekly and monthly growth targets. 8. Deliver outstanding customer service. 9. Be hands on and lead by example. 10. Assist in food and display prepping, as required. Lead by example. 11. Manage morning openings or cafe closing from time to time, including doing the day end takings, register float and cash balancing end of day. 12. Suggest promotional and advertising ideas to boost sales. 13. Be proactive in showcasing our cafe on Social Media. About you, ideally..... 1. Own a BIG Smile and be happy to engage with Customers 2. Excellent decision making & eye for detail. 2. Super organised and multi tasking ability 3. Experience in specialty coffee - excellent barista skills 4. Great knowledge of OH&S and the hospitality space 5. Effective in managing costs, item profitibality, stock control, ordering, cash handling and training experience.
