WSP is positioned in the heart of the Australian energy transition with one of the largest onshore, multi-disciplinary renewable energy teams. In addition to this, WSP has successfully invested in the development of a marine geosciences team to further service the rapidly emerging offshore sector.

**The Opportunity**

As an experienced **Geoscientist**, you will work within the Marine Geoscience team alongside SMEs with significant experience from the offshore hydrocarbon and renewables industry. This team has established itself as a preferred independent marine geoscience consultant in Perth, succeeding as a collective of talented experts, each with discrete technical strengths but connected with shared capabilities and attitudes.

Because of this success, WSP is looking for at least one additional experienced **Geoscientist** to join the team as soon as possible.

**What you will do**
- Complement the existing Marine Geosciences team and bring additional technical strengths to the team.
- Be committed to the continued growth of WSP’s Marine Geoscience team to support its position as a centre of excellence for WSP globally, growing and establishing proactive links with other regions.
- Lead the delivery of complex and challenging projects related to offshore energy projects.
- Lead and support the development of technical documents, e.g., desktop studies and interpretative reports, for key clients throughout various project execution phases.
- Present project outcomes and provide ongoing advice to our clients.
- Ensure the technical delivery of projects, including risk and quality management.

**What we will love about you**
- Experience in assessing various types of geophysical data. A background in offshore geophysical data acquisition would be viewed favourable but is not essential.
- Strong knowledge of marine geological processes, sediment and shallow geohazards, and their engineering implications.
- Strong expertise in ESRI ArcGIS and IHS Kingdom. Practical knowledge of additional specialised geoscience software such as Leapfrog would be favourable.
- Experience in working offshore during seabed surveys.
- Excellent written and communication skills with an ability to clearly articulate advice to a broad range of technical and non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrated project ownership, decision making and mentoring skills to enable development of junior personnel.
- A desire to contribute to the transition to renewable energy.
