Foreman - Water Pipelines

**THE ROLE**

Reporting to the Construction Supervisor, we are searching for an experienced **Site Foreman**to join our long-term contract of works for GWW. Based primarily out of our central depot in Campbellfield, the purpose of this role is to coordinate, supervise and motivate our water main renewal field crews across the northern Melbourne region.

Work hours are Monday to Friday 7:00am till 3:30pm. Nightshift may be required on a project basis. Saturday / weekend works will be required on a project basis.

**The core function of this role will include but not be limited to**:

- Providing authentic safety leadership and championing safety programs and initiatives
- Reporting on progress against schedules for the delivery of projects
- Communicating with staff on roles, goals, and expectations
- Driving innovative ideas and encouraging teams to share improved methods or processes
- Providing expert technical advice to the Project Delivery and wider teams
- Maintaining good working relationships with a range of stakeholdersMonitoring crew performance, work schedule adherence and providing staff development.

**ABOUT YOU**
- Strong track record in the water industry and the ability to lead, develop and motivate a team.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in water main renewal and construction
- White card, Drivers Licence (MR/HR desirable) & First Aid Certification.
- Excavator Licence and confined space qualifications desirable
- A strong safety focus and the ability to interpret and enforce Downers Zero Harm policies, procedures and standards.
- Experience with MS Office software.
- Delivery focused, well organised and a strong communicator.
- An understanding of works planning process, set-up and execution of work in a high-volume delivery environment.Proven ability to drive results and achieve desired outcomes.
