Coordinator Outside School Hour Care Rochedale South

The YMCA is the fastest growing OSHC provider in the South East with over 50+ services, which in turn provides our staff with the ability to grow and move through the company as their careers head to the next level.

We are currently recruiting for a **Coordinator** on a **full time basis, 38 hours per week** to join our team at **YMCA Rochedale South Outside School Hours Care (OSHC).**

In this position, you will be the leader of the service responsible for the day-to-day running of the service and management of a team of Educators. You will receive support from a dedicated management team, consisting of the other Coordinators, Senior Coordinator Area Coordinator, Regional Manager and the OSHC Manager.

**Your workspace at the Y**

**YMCA Rochedale South Outside School Hours Care (OSHC)** is located on Yuggera land in the Performing Arts Centre of the school. Our service provides a range of indoor and outdoor spaces where our educators maintain a safe, fun and interactive environment for all children to feel supported to play, learn and grow.

We are licensed for 130 children and offer Before School Care, After School Care and Vacation Care between the hours of 6:30am and 6pm. We also offer a pre-kindy program for the children who attend C&K located on Wendron Street.

We are looking for educators that are committed and enthusiastic about contributing to the fun environment we have created for children to thrive and learn through play.

**As an OSHC Coordinator you will assist with**:

- The development of quality programs;
- Manage the day to day running of the programs;
- Coordinate staffing and rostering of staff;
- Ensure compliance with policy;
- Undertake administrative requirements;
- Work collaboratively with families and the school community.

**SELECTION CRITERIA**:

- Completed (or close to completion) of relevant qualifications in Childcare or Teaching (Minimum of Diploma in Children Services);
- Demonstrated experience in assisting with programming and a passion for providing quality childcare;
- Demonstrated experience in maintaining effective administration and correct documentation in an OSHC service;
- Excellent customer service skills;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain;
- Certificate of Suitability to work with Children and Young People (Blue Card) or willingness to obtain.
- NQF knowledge would be advantageous.
