**About the Role**
We currently have an opportunity for Aquarists/Keepers to join our team at SEA LIFE Melbourne Aquarium

These roles work within the Curatorial team in ensuring best practice animal husbandry as well as providing an amazing experience to our visitors.

**What roles do we have available?**
- Full time positions x2
- Full Time Maternity Leave cover
- Multiple casual positions (with potential to turn part time or full time)

**You will have the opportunity to work across all exhibits within the aquarium.**

**Your duties include but are not limited to**:

- Perform various tasks across the aquarium - daily husbandry, management and welfare of the animal collection
- Develop and maintain excellent and innovative animal exhibits that deliver an exceptional visitor experience
- Food preparation and feeding of fish and marine animals
- Clean and maintain the exhibits and quarantine tanks
- Implement continually high levels of cleanliness of all the displays, quarantine and food preparation areas, plus associated plant and workshops
- Maintain and develop displays lighting, signage and interactive displays in the displays area.
- Working with a variety of Life Support Systems

**About You**
- You will possess either a relevant science qualification, or demonstrated equivalent experience within an aquarium/aquaculture environment.
- In addition, you will be passionate about marine animals and will display commitment, loyalty and a strong work ethic.
- You will be an exceptional communicator, are solution focused, and are able to use your vast experience to work well in a successful, fast paced team.
- You are committed to ensuring clean, amazing exhibits and exercise best practice animal husbandry while delivering an amazing guest experience.
- Your ability to multi-task and have a flexible and adaptable approach along with high attention to detail, the ability to meet deadlines and have demonstrated planning, organisational and time management skills are highly desired.
- Please note that this role will require regular diving and appropriate certifications for diving will be required. Already hold appropriate qualifications? This is an advantage
