In this key leadership role, you’ll ensure the smooth and efficient operation of critical technical services in line with defined service levels. Healius employs 8,000+ passionate people, with an expansive network of over 100 medical laboratories and 2000 patient collection centres operating across metropolitan, regional and remote Australia.
We provide 1 in every 3 pathology services in Australia, extending from exclusively servicing some of Australia’s largest and most complex private and public hospitals, to small Indigenous Australian communities.

**What You Will Be Doing**
**Your key responsibilities will include**:
- Leading the management, provision, support, and availability of Healius’ enterprise technical services
- Owning incident escalations, service restoration, and ongoing service performance
- Managing technical staff, including performance reviews, career development, and team culture
- Overseeing the prioritisation of service delivery based on business and customer needs
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives and identifying opportunities for efficiency
- Supporting a wide range of technologies and resolving complex technical issues
- Ensuring availability of services 24/7 in alignment with SLAs and KPIs
- Exploring alternative technologies and innovations to support strategic goals
- Participating in key meetings and acting as the final escalation point for technical solution conflicts
- Ensuring team alignment with change control, uptime standards, and production system stability
- Maintaining data confidentiality and complying with all WHS policies and procedures
- Promoting an inclusive, agile, and collaborative team environment
**What Type of Person Will Be Successful**
**These are the type of attributes & skills you would possess**:
- 2+ years of experience in a technical leadership or IT operations role
- Proven experience managing technical support and service delivery functions in a complex environment
- Strong working knowledge of ITSM tools, particularly ServiceNow
- Experience managing full lifecycle of IT service tickets (incidents, tasks, escalations)
- Comfortable working with diverse stakeholders across all levels of the business
- Solid understanding of ITIL frameworks and best practices
- Exceptional planning, time management, and organisational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and influence
- Proficiency in preparing technical documentation, presentations, and training material
- Ability to prioritise competing demands and remain calm under pressure
- Skilled in conflict resolution and problem-solving in high-pressure environments
- A collaborative, team-first approach with strong independent decision-making capabilities
- Familiarity with the healthcare sector is a bonus
