**Qualifications & experience**
- At least 1 year of relevant work experience

**Tasks & responsibilities**
- Read and analyse detailed engineering drawings, CAD models and technical specifications to determine machining requirements for automotive components and accessories.
- Set up and operate CNC lathes, milling machines, and manual machining equipment to produce high-precision metal parts used in vehicle accessory systems such as roof racks, tow bars and protective equipment.
- Write, edit, and troubleshoot CNC programs to ensure machining operations meet the strict tolerances and quality standards required by OEM customers and AutoPacific’s in-house design specifications.
- Use micrometers, gauges, and CMMs to measure dimensions of machined components, ensuring compliance with engineering tolerances and AutoPacific’s rigorous quality assurance protocols.
- Manufacture prototype components and custom parts for new automotive accessory designs, collaborating closely with AutoPacific’s engineering and product development teams to refine manufacturability.
- Choose appropriate metals and cutting tools, and set up fixtures and jigs for production runs to ensure efficiency and accuracy in manufacturing processes.
- Conduct routine maintenance on machining equipment, identify and troubleshoot operational issues, and liaise with maintenance teams to minimise downtime.
- Work closely with design engineers, production planners, and quality control staff to ensure that manufactured components meet project timelines and customer requirements.
- Follow AutoPacific’s safety procedures and protocols, including correct use of PPE and safe handling of materials and equipment, to maintain a safe and compliant manufacturing environment.
- Maintain accurate records of machining parameters, production quantities, and quality inspections to support traceability, continuous improvement, and ISO-compliant manufacturing processes.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
