**ABOUT THE ROLE**

We are seeking Disability Support Workers to join our growing team in Western Sydney. You will provide support for people with a disability to live independently and maintain their best possible social wellbeing. You will support our customers to achieve their personal goals and to live satisfying lives in our community.

**KEY RESPONSIBLITIES**:

- Supporting our customers to achieve their goals
- Assisting our customers with daily personal care tasks such as showering, grooming, dressing, meal preparation, household tasks, medication management, etc.
- Transporting customers to & from services or activities
- Maintain & establish links to community
- Promoting independent decision making
- Work within the principles of person-centred practice
- Willing to work with multiple participants or at different locations when required

**Requirements**:

- Ability to build rapport with a diverse range of customers
- Experience working with adults with complex support needs (including dementia and epilepsy)
- Driven, energetic & committed
- Strong communication skills
- Willingness to learn
- Flexibility with shifts
- Shifts available Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Saturday (7:30am-10:30am) and Wednesday (1:30pm-4:30pm)

**WHAT YOU NEED**:

- Current driver's licence and vehicle (essential)
- Working With Children Check (or willing to obtain)
- NDIS Worker Screen (or ability to obtain one is essential)
- NDIS Module 1 (or willing to obtain)
- National Police Check (or willing to obtain)
- Assyrian/Arabic-speaking (preferred)

Pay: $31.46 - $40.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Fixed shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Public holidays

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Fairfield, NSW: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Language**:

- Assyrian or Arabic (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- First Aid Certification (preferred)
- Working with Children Check (preferred)
- National Police Certificate (preferred)
- Driver's Licence (preferred)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (preferred)

Work Location: In person
