**Casual Social Worker - Grade 2**

- Enjoy the flexibility of casual shifts with exposure to varied clinical areas.
- Previous hospital experience is required.

This position will provide the successful applicant with opportunities to showcase their experience working in a well-supported multi-disciplinary team environment with a wide variety of acute surgical and medical patients. This role involves the provision of Social Work service and will be a very valued member of our supportive team. The Social Work team consists of over 40 staff members who work across the City and Royal Park Campuses in acute, sub-acute and community based services across a range of specialties.

**Your new role**
- Complete psychosocial assessments and provide emotional support and counselling to patients and their families and/or carers in the acute hospital wards.
- You will be supported by team leaders (grade 3) and clinical lead (grade 4) on site.
- Bi-monthly team meetings for casual staff (virtual) to support you in your role and connect you with the team.
- Be part of and contribute to a dynamic and progressive Social Work team.
- Foster positive team and workplace culture as a grade 2 clinician.

**About you**
- You are a qualified Social Worker (either current member or current eligibility for AASW) with work experience as a hospital Social Worker.
- You are an adaptable, quick learner with proven ability to work autonomously in hospital environments.
- You are able to deliver excellent consumer focussed clinical care to patients and their carers.
- You have the experience and skills to mentor and supervise junior staff and students.
