The Opportunity
You will make an impact by collaborating with various teams to drive Dexus’s sustainability strategy, lead sustainability disclosures for listed investors, and implement environmental strategic programs.
Reporting into the General Manager, Environmental & Operational Sustainability, you will lead collaboration with Investor Relations, Corporate Communications, and Finance to prepare public sustainability disclosures, including the Annual Reporting Suite and climate-related disclosures in line with the Australian Sustainability Reporting Standards.
Other responsibilities:
- Contribute to the development of environmental sustainability strategy, manage projects, and support the creation of a clear climate strategy and net zero roadmap.
- Manage and deliver programs to embed sustainability practices across corporate teams and with asset teams and improve data collection processes.
- Contribute to the governance of committees, deliver communications internally and externally, and ensure the accuracy of sustainability statements.
- Work with internal stakeholders to integrate sustainability within Dexus’s workplace systems and culture.
- Conduct research to identify sustainable programs and develop business cases for new initiatives.
About You
You are passionate about sustainability with a practical, business-minded approach. Your empathetic nature and strong communication skills enable you to influence outcomes and negotiate effectively. You excel at engaging diverse audiences and conveying complex concepts clearly. Additionally, your commercial acumen and enterprise-level thinking drive sustainability initiatives forward.
- Degree in Environmental Sustainability, Communications, Finance, Engineering, Science, or a related field, with a strong foundation in sustainability principles.
- Proven experience in delivering sustainability reporting and climate-related disclosures, with a solid understanding of their relationship with financial reporting.
- Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing environmental sustainability programs, managing large-scale sustainability change initiatives, and ensuring operationalization within corporations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, excellent program management capabilities, and sound data and numerical analysis skills, coupled with a journalistic approach to writing and a commercial acumen.
